For our final event of the year, UQ Robotics members embarked into the fabled AEB Lecture Hall, to of course play games on the projector, fly drones around the complex structure of the AEB and eat pizza! It was a great way to end an awesome year of UQ Robotics workshops, events and meetups!
Thanks to everyone who has supported these events in 2016! See you next year!
Throughout the semester we have continued to have micro quad nights, allowing members to fly there quads somewhere at UQ. This has ranged from GP South to the new multistory carpark! And in UQ Union tradition, pizza is provided! We aim to continue these into 2017 so keep an eye out for the events, coming to a Facebook near you!
We started out with no decent tracking working, moved to near perfect tracking (doing laps around the course, something which no-one else could do), to losing all of our settings. We made it to the final and came second so we all think thats a pretty good effort for a team of 3.
Awesome effort and thanks goes to Josh Riddell and Iain Rudge who worked on this entry!
We are hoping to enter again next year (perhaps with more than one team). If you are keen to get involved in this we will be starting work on it during next semester so we get a head start. The club has some funding that we can provide to get these teams off the ground!
